Coatings for polymer optics have been optimized for wide band and narrow band anti-reflection spectra. Spectral photometry is used to ensure that all customer specifications and requirements of the products are met. Adhesion inspections are done with Kapton tape, and hardness inspections are carried out with muslin tests.
See above for a narrow band example showing an AR-coating optimized around a wavelength of 525 nm. In transmission mode the total loss off incident light is reduced by 50% at this wavelength. Currently Sumipro can measure wavelengths up to 1000nm; this will be expanded in the future to cover silicium and germanium coatings.
